Seacole who is a heroin of the Crimean
War and a National Hero in England.
As a volunteer black nurse in a white
world she risked her life and livelihood
on the battlefield even after many rejections
and skepticisms of her ability as a
coloured woman. She has inspired me
to be selfless, empowered and to survive
the odds while shifting paradigms. |

Completing
my LlB and becoming involved in representational
politics which I recognize is a medium
through which I can foster growth and
development of my parish. Trelawny has
been deemed as one of the most under
developed parishes in Jamaica and I
believe I will be able to effect the
necessary changes that will help to
elevate and improve its present status.
I hope to start a school of art where
children between the ages of 8 –
15 can develop the skills needed to
afford them with opportunities for learning
and work. Major emphasis will be placed
on learning to play a musical instrument
because currently there is no music
school in the parish.
