CHRISTINE ALLEN

Married with one son, Christine Ann Marie Allen has been a Christian for over 18 years. A member of the May Pen Baptist Church, she is presently the Youth and Children’s Choir director.

Mrs. Allen started singing from the age of eight years and is also a member of the May pen Baptist Choir. Her singing ministry has extended from Church to various gospel events.

She is currently a practicing Banker who enjoys spending time with her family and friends, the performing arts and reading.

Her entry in the Gospel festival 2006 is ‘Here I Am’ produced by Jon Williams.

RYAN DAVIS

Ryan Davis is a resident of the parish of Kingston and St. Andrew. He attended the Oberlin High School where he not only excelled in academics but also in drama and music. He is currently pursuing his degree in Tourism and Hospitality. During his spare time he performs at concerts, write songs and plays cricket. He currently sings with the band “Musical Solutions”

His entry in the Gospel Competition 2006 ‘‘Testify’ is produced by Paul Barclay

CLIVE WARREN

Clive Donald Warren aka C.D originates from the parish of Manchester but has been residing in Montego Bay for over ten years. He worships at the Flankers Open Bible Church where he also serves as the Praise and Worship Coordinator and the Men’s President.

Clive was also a finalist in the Gospel Song competition in 1998.

He is back this year with his entry ‘Generation’ produced by Othneil Lewis.

JORDEEN WILSON

Nineteen year old Christian and active member of the “Gospel Temple Assemblies of God Church” situated in the community of Tower Hill, St. James. She attended the Tower Hill All Age and the Montego Bay School. She presently attends the Cornwall School of Nursing and Midwifery, in an effort to complete a midwifery course.

At age twelve (12) Jordeen joined the youth choir. She was also a part of a sensational singing group ‘Unique Flames’, the Gospel Vibrators Ministries and the New Generation Band.

Jordeen enjoys singing, reading, playing netball and socializing. Her ambition is to pursue a career in the field of medicine, specializing in pediatrics and to continue her singing ministry.

Her entry song ‘This is Your House’ is produced by Geoffrey Thomas.

ROHAN BLAIR

Rohan Blair’s music ministry started in his local church where her performs on regular concerts. Presently a youth director and a choir director, he is also a professional sign art and special effects painter.

Mr. Blair is married with two children and presently resides in Ocho Rios.

Formerly a member of the singing groups ‘Divine Heritage’ and ‘Heavenly Echos’ he is now pursuing his solo career with his debut album ‘The Amazing Sound’.
Rohan Blair entered the JCDC Gospel Competition in 1998 and 2002 and is back again this year with his entry song ‘God is With Us’ produce by Courick Clarke.

DWIGHT GORDON

Dwight Gordon is a member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Spanish Town. He attended the School of music in 2002 and now pursues a career as a music teacher.

He sees his entry song ‘Restore My Life’ as a calling for the servants of God whose life has been broken and wants to come home.

The song is produced by Allman Brown.

MARVIA & THE HEART OF SOUL GOSPEL SINGERS

Marvia Cynthia Simms is a dynamic mother of three and a Minister of the gospel. A teacher by profession, she worships at the Valley Christian Ministries International in Spanish Town where she serves as a youth minister, choir director.

Marvia started singing at the age of three and also writes her own songs with the hope of bringing the message of Christ to the people through music.
She describes herself as an outgoing person who loves to give jokes and ensure that everyone around her is comfortable.

The Heart for Soul Gospel Group started in January of this year with members Dave, Ruthlyn, Kemar and Sheldon all from the parish of St. Catherine.
Their Entry ‘Whosoever Will’ is produced by Dwain Campbell – Fletcher.

CHRISTOPHER CLARKE

Christopher Clarke hails from the community of Mendez in the parish of St. Catherine. He attended the Tacius Golding High School and later went on to become a Fireman.

Clarke realized he had the talent to sing from an early age at the Church of God of Prophecy, Point Hill where he ministered. He is presently in a group known as Christopher Clarke and the Victory band. He was also a successful Finalist in the Gospel Festival in 1995.

His entry in this year’s Gospel Festival is ‘My Keeper’ produced by Alexander Martin- Blanken.

GREATVINE MINISTRIES

The Greatvine Ministries came to life on July 25, 2004. The ministry is made up of a total of eight members, five of whom are singers and the others are musicians. These ministers are professionals in the fields of Counseling, Education and Health Care and there are also some students included in the variety.

Since its inception the group has ministered in varying parts of Jamaica participating in church services, weddings and is preparing to take their first tour of the Caribbean in November 2006.
The group is based in Mandeville and their entry in the Gospel Competition2006 ‘In your Presence is produced by Jon Williams and Alexander Marten Blanken.

JOHN SPENCER & THE MINSTRELS

John, Gail and Aberchi are worship leaders at the Faith Christian Fellowship of St. Ann’s Bay. They have been singing together as a group for the past two years. Their music ministry has inspired and transformed many lives.

John is known for his mastery of the musical instruments – the keyboard, drums and the guitar. Gail is known for her ‘miriamic’ worship spirit and she also plays the guitar. Aberichi is known for her graceful spirit of worship and makes excellent sounds with African musical instruments.

This trio seeks every opportunity to minister in songs of praise and worship.

Their entry song in the Gospel Festival 2006 is ‘The Word’ produced by Dennis Rushton.
